Lisa Lebofsky

Lisa is a painter residing in Bronx, New York. She holds an MFA in painting from the New York Academy of Art. Her artwork presents viewers with awareness and sympathy for the plight of landscapes facing extinction as a result of human impact. Among her awards and residencies are the Prince of Wales travel grant to Ch√Ęteau de Balleroy, France, the BRIO (Bronx Recognizes Its Own) Grant from the Bronx Council of the Arts, and artist in residence at Terra Nova National Park (Newfoundland, Canada), Platte Clove (Catskill Mts, NY), New Bedford Whaling Museum (Massachusetts), and Saltonstall Foundation (Ithaca, NY).
